About

We are a boutique investment management firm, early in our journey – but not early in our thinking.

Founded by a small group of traders and researchers, we are confident of the world ahead and passionate about building Finachi in the same way markets reward capital – patiently, systematically and with respect for risk.

Before managing scale, we chose to master process.

Investments shouldn’t be reserved for a select few or for large instituions. We are building Finachi to democratise access to investment opportunities, once reserved for the wealthy and well connected.

We are taking on the most challenging problems in the world of investments, one grain at a time and designing robust systems build on cutting edge tech and decades of human experience, with the dream of creating value for the masses and redesign the way we look at wealth management.

We are building the future for permanence, not headlines.

Our small size allows us to think clearly, while our ambitions make sure that we think rigorously.

As an investment management firm, we understand that risk should be measured, understood and deliberately taken – not avoided, or glorified.

We are dedicated towards designing systems that survive the risk of uncertainty rather than stories that collapse under it

Our values

Ethics and Honesty

We take pride that our trading doesn’t impose hidden costs or risks on counterparties or the market. No one at Finachi will be asked to defend a position or state an opinion that they don’t believe in. It’s crucial to us that interactions both within and outside of our walls are conducted honestly and openly.

Responsible Risk Management

At Finachi we specialize in managing risk. We carefully study how trading risks might be bigger or more interrelated than they appear, and this allows us to be especially bold. Our risk thinking has an ethical as well as a practical dimension. We do not believe in taking excessive risk knowing that others will bear the downside. When systems fail, even when the consequences are minor, we have a strong culture of postmortems: we believe that process improvement works better than apportioning blame.

Intellectual Humility

Staying humble allows us to question our assumptions and to update our views based on new arguments. Being skeptical and asking “why” are critical. We talk openly about mistakes because that’s the best way to learn from them.

Less hierarchy, more collaboration

We strive to minimize red tape and don’t put much stock in seniority. It’s easy to connect with colleagues no matter their department. People who work here are partners working together toward shared goals.
